About this tour
Two of the best collections in the country sit within an hour of each other in the south, and both reward having somebody with you who knows the objects.
The Ethnographic Museum
Seven halls, and the basketry room alone justifies the drive. We spend most of our time in three of them rather than marching through all seven.
The King’s Palace at Nyanza
The reconstructed royal residence, the long-horned inyambo, and the herders who still sing to them.
Entry fees to both museums are included in your ticket.
