Terms of use
The agreement between you, the makers who sell here, and us.
Who you are contracting with
When you buy on IYAWE, your contract for the goods is with the shop that made them. IYAWE operates the marketplace: we run the accounts, take the payment, hold the money until delivery, and pay the maker their share.
That is why a problem with a piece is settled between you, the shop and us together, and why refunds come from the order rather than from the shop directly.
Your account
You are responsible for what happens under your account and for keeping your password to yourself. Tell us promptly if you think someone else has access.
You may buy as a guest. Orders placed that way attach to an account only when you register with the same email address and confirm it.
Buying
Prices are in US dollars and include neither import duties nor customs charges. A price can change between visits; the price that binds is the one shown when you pay.
Stock is real and finite. If a piece sells while it is in your bag, checkout will say so rather than take your money.
Selling
Shops must be verified before they are visible. You may only list work you made or are authorised to sell, and your listings must describe it accurately — photographs must be of the actual piece.
We may unpublish a listing or suspend a shop that breaks these terms, and we will say why.
Payments and payouts
Payment is taken by our payment provider. Your balance as a maker grows when an order is marked delivered, at the revenue share fixed when the buyer paid, and you withdraw it from your wallet.
Currency and exchange rates
Every piece is priced by its maker in one currency. When you view it in another, the figure you see is a conversion for guidance, refreshed through the day and rounded for readability — it is not a quote.
What binds is the amount shown on the checkout page in the currency you are charged in. Your bank may apply its own rate and fees on top of that, which are between you and them.
Limits
We do not promise the site is always available or error-free. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death, personal injury or fraud.
Changes
We may update these terms. If a change materially affects you we will make it obvious rather than quietly swapping the page.
