Opening night: What the pattern carries

Six weeks of work goes up on the walls and we open the doors at six. The makers will all be here, which is the actual reason to come.

The show

Eleven works across four makers, built around one question: what happens to a pattern when the person carrying it moves somewhere else. Two of the four have never shown in Kigali before.

The evening

1. 18:00 — doors, drinks

2. 19:00 — the makers say something, briefly, under protest

3. 19:30 — back to standing around, which is the good part

Everything on the walls is for sale from the moment the doors open.
